"Charity shouldn't be charity"- the problem of giving (Greg Baines, Jan. 2010) We see a need, we feel sympathy, we want to do something. We give, usually money. Sometimes we devote time to a group. Is this always a good thing? To what extent does this institutionalise or perpetuate the problem we felt so badly needed fixing? (this is a work in progress, more to follow)
